In Arunachal Pradesh, son of former Chief minister late Dorjee Khandu and presently Tourism and Water Resource Minister Pema Khandu was today elected unopposed from Mukto constituency in the bye election. He was the only Indian National Congress candidate, who filed the nomination papers for the Mukto bye polls. Earlier, the Mukto constituency had fallen vacant after the tragic demise of Dorjee Khandu in a helicopter incident in Tawang and four others on the 30 April this year.
