PEDA to Solaris Parliament house, Rashtrapati Bhawan

Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) has been entrusted to Solaris (to equip with solar lights and other solar run gadgets) the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House and Rajya Sabha. <br/><br/>In the first phase, the work for solarisation of these three most important buildings would start in the next four months.<br/><br/>This has been disclosed by the Chairman, PEDA, Manjit Singh during ‘Meet the Press’ organized at Punjab Press Club in Jalandhar, yesterday. He said the project has been given to PEDA by the Centre because of the efficiency of the Agency in propagating the objectives of non conventional and renewable energy sources for which it had also been given the best Performance Award in the country.<br/><br/>In the second phase, all the religious places in New Delhi will be equipped with Solar Energy equipments.<br/><br/>In between, the PEDA would start solarisation of Sri Harimandir Sahib, Durgiana Mandir, Jallianwala Bagh, Attari Check Post, Anandpur Sahib and Talwandi Sabo. The work will start on June 1st from Sri Harimandir Sahib.<br/><br/>In a process to make Punjab power surplus in the coming years, the Chairman said that PEDA would also start producing power from next year and would contribute by generating 350 MW energy.
