In West Bengal, peaceful voting is on for five Municipalities and one Notified area authority. Municipalities are Durgapur, Dhup Puri, Haldia, Panskura and Naihati and Coopers Camp notified area.According to state Election Commission sources, over 50 per cent voting was recorded till noon. No major untoward incident has so far been reported. Police arrested around ten persons on various charges from different areas.AIR Kolkata correspondent reports, this is the first municipal election in the state after the new government came into power.
