Peaceful polling is underway in the 7th phase of Lok Sabha Polls in 89 contituencies across 7 States and 2 Union Teritories and 119 Assembly Segments of Telangana region in Andhra Pradesh.

People turned up in large number to cast their votes in the first few hours of polling in view of the scorching summer heat as the day advanced.

The political fortune of over 1,000 candidates will be decided at the hustings today.

Prominent among them are Sonia Gandhi, Narendra Modi, L.K.Advani, Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Murli Manohar Joshi, Madhusudan Mistry, Capt. Amarinder Singh, Sriprakash Jaiswal, Shankarsinh Vaghela, Uma Bharti, Farooq Abdullah, Jaipal Reddy and K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
