In Uttar Pradesh, the polling on the ten Lok Sabha seats, was by and large peaceful. Barring few minor incidents no untoward happening was reported any where from all the ten Loksabha constituencies including sensitive Muzaffanagar, Shamli and Meerut. People came out of their houses and made serpentine queues outside the polling stations to cast their votes. Elaborate security arrangement was in place to foil any bid of disturbing the election process.
AIR correspondent reports that few persons reportedly attacked BJP canidate of Baghpat Satpal Singh, in which he sustained minor injuries. DIG K Satyanarayan said if any complaint is received, police will investigate the matter.
