India has said peace and stability in Nepal is of paramount interest to it. Responding to media query, MEA spokesperson Gopal Baglay said India is seriously concerned at the recent violent clashes which claimed several lives. He urged all sides to exercise restraint and avoid any action that may vitiate the atmosphere further.<br/><br/>On recent political developments in the Himalayan country, he said it has been New Delhi's consistent view that Nepal's political leaders should address the Constitution issue through dialogue and consultations with all sections of society. He said India will continue to support efforts for peace, progress and stability in Nepal.
