Peace rally taken out on Osmania University campus in Hyderabad

In Andhra Pradesh, a peace rally has been taken out on the Osmania University campus in Hyderabad on Thursday. A day after violent incidents took place on the campus injuring about 30 people including 13 students, a peace-rally has been held under the aegis of the student Telangana Joint Action Committee. Additional security forces have been deployed on the campus to avoid any untoward incident. The University has also postponed engineering examinations on demand made by the students. Meanwhile, the bandh in Telangana region called by the all-party Telangana JAC protesting the suppressive acts against students is so far peaceful. Public and private offices, most of the shops and business set ups are opened today as the bandh is being observed mainly as mark of protest. Public Transport buses are plying in most of the areas in the region.
