Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju said that peace and development are the two mantras of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the North East. Attending the Namami Brahmaputra festival in Guwahati this evening he said that the image of North East has been changed under the reign of Narendra Modi. <br/><br/>Mr.Rijiju said that people are now eager to visit North East region of the country.Supporting the Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, he said that next year the Namami Brahmaputra festival will be jointly organized by Assam and Arunachal Pradesh in a bigger way.Assam Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal and Minister from UP Mahendra Singh also attended the program. <br/><br/>Mr.Sonowal hoped that this festival will promote Assam in South East Asia. Interaction program, film shows, indigenous sports , tea festival among others will be held tomorrow. The organizers clarified that there would not be any pass required for visitors.
