Pakistan Cricket Board, PCB has said that it has set up an internal committee to look into a religious spat between its opener Ahmed Shahzad and his Sri Lankan counterpart, Tillakratne Dislhan, last month. The committee will be headed by director of international cricket, Zakir Khan.Television footage showed Shahzad passing a religious remark at Dilshan after the third and final one-day international at Dambulla last week. The footage went viral on the internet, prompting the PCB to summon Shahzad yesterday. The remarks stemmed from reports that Dilshan was born to a Muslim father and a Buddhist mother and was originally named Tuwan Mohammed Dilshan. But once his parents separated, Dilshan turned a Buddhist.
