Senior Congress member P C Chacko has been made the Chairman of the JPC on the 2G spectrum issue. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal told reporters that Chacko he had been appointed by the Speaker Miera Kumar. The 65-year-old veteran represents Thrissur in Kerala in the Lok Sabha. AIR correspondent reports that the announcement of JPC with 20-members from the Lok Sabha and 10 from the Rajya Sabha, eneded the deadlock in Parliament between the Government and the Opposition.
