Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya today said payment of wages through bank accounts to workers in unorganized sectors will be made compulsory. <br/><br/>Speaking to media after reviewing with bankers over opening up of bank accounts of unorganized sectors workers in Hyderabad this evening, he said the Payment of Wages Act will be amended to this effect. He further said the executive orders will be issued soon to begin with the system in the wake of demonetization. <br/><br/>Mr Dattatreya informed that ten lakh 35 thousand accounts all over the country have been opened afresh by various banks for workers in unorganized sector. The banks are conducting special camps to encourage workers and managements for on-line bank transactions.
