The distribution of compensation to the recent cloudburst affected people is going on in full swing in Leh district of Jammu and Kashmir. In the cloud burst disaster more than 200 people died and hundreds of people became homeless. AIRr Leh correspondent reports that with the coordination of Banks, the district administration has been camping at various disaster affected areas of the district for the distribution of compensation. AIR correspondent Dolma reports from Leh that after almost one month of cloudburst disaster, the compensation to the affected people is in full swing. Out of 600 families who have become homeless, the district administration with the coordination of banks has distributed compensation to 202 families and ex gratia relief of to the 100 of the next kin of those who lost their life in the disaster. However, the district administration is facing problem in distribution of compensation in remote areas due to problem in road connectivity . Deputy Commissioner Mr.Pering Angchok also said they are facing difficulty in distribution of compensation to the affected labours of outside of the state due to not getting required documents.
