Pay more in AC-1, AC-2 classes from tomorrow

The new railway fares will come in to force from tomorrow. Railways have revised passenger fares in AC-First Class, AC-2 Tier, Executive Class and First Class. But, there is no change in the fares of other classes. The new fares in these classes will be applicable to all types of trains.

It will also apply to tickets issued in advance for journeys to commence on or after 1st of April. In the case of tickets already issued at pre-revised rates, the difference in fares from 1st of April will be recovered from passengers either by TTEs in the trains or by the booking offices before commencement of the journey.

The revised list of fares for the information of the public is being displayed at the stations and also available on the website of the Ministry of Railways, www.indianrailways.gov.in
