Pawar rules out export of surplus wheat

The government today said the prices of essential commodities are coming down in local markets. <br/><br/>Speaking on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi, Union food and agriculture minister, Sharad Pawar ruled out any possibility of allowing wheat export till June. He said government can think about export of wheat only when its total procurement process is over. <br/><br/>The minister said the production of wheat and sugar is expected to show a huge surge in current year. Mr Pawar said the draft National Food Security Bill is ready and will be placed before the Group of Ministers.<br/><br/>He said the proposed bill will provide more availability of food grains for the above poverty line people through government agencies.
