Pawar hopeful of record wheat production this year

The Agriculture Minister Mr. Sharad Pawar, today expressed the hope that country will have record wheat production this year. Talking to newsmen in New Delhi on the sidelines of National Agriculture Fair which opened in New Delhi today, Mr Pawar said that prices of essential commodities will go down in coming days due to good Rabi Crops. He also said that prices of sugar have already started declining due to sufficient crop produce in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. Speaking on this occassion he said that Government has dual responsibility of role of ensuring farmers get fair price for their crops and the people living below the poverty line get essential commodities reasonable prices.<br/>
