NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Sunday backed the government on the petrol price hike. Defending Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on deregulation of the fuel price, Mr Pawar said there is no point in blaming the government for increase in the mdomestic prices of fuel as they are related to fluctuations
in the international markets.

The Union minister was speaking at a press conference in Jalgaon in Maharashtra after inaugurating a bio-gas project.

The Prime Minister has justified the hike in petrol prices, saying there should be further movement towards deregulation of fuel prices.
