The AIR Director General L D Mandoli today indicated that the pattern and the content of programmes broadcast on All India Radio will undergo a change for the better during the next fiscal. Addressing the Station Director's conference in Kochi today, he called upon station heads to lay emphasis on in-house production utilising the existing studio facilities. He pointed out a lot of importance is given to the news provided by state public relations departments, due to which various schemes of the union government are not getting sufficient coverage in the regional news bulletins.
ADG (News), S Mathias, who addressed the meet said the endeavor of the News Services Division is to ensure accuracy, balance and clarity in the news bulletins broadcast on AIR. He said better cooperation among various wings of AIR will immensely help to better the news output.
