Taking exception to the inordinate delay in payment of dues to a transporter by the Bihar government officials, the Patna High Court has stopped the salaries of four district magistrates in the state till further orders.Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi, while hearing a petition filed by a bus owner complaining non-payment of dues for his vehicle that was requisitioned by the district administration officials during the 2005 state assembly elections, directed that no salary or emoluments should be paid to the DMs of Patna, Rohtas, Khagaria and Saharsa till further orders.Justice Tripathi said if any amount was withdrawn from the state exchequer by the four DMs as their emoluments, it would be treated as willful violation of the court order.
