Patna Blasts: NIA team gets vital clues from several locations in Ranchi

The plot of the serial blasts in Patna was hatched in HEC Dhurwa area of Jharkhand's capital Ranchi. The NIA team have got vital clues from different locations in Ranchi, which include terror calender, name and telephone addresses and other information on a pendrive.

Speaking to the media, the ADG and spokesperson of Jharkhand police, S.N. Pradhan said that a terror training centre was being run at the residence of Mohammed Imtiaz, whose father had retired from a central government PSU. All those involved in the blast were in the age group of 20 to 25 and painters by profession. The ADG also stressed the need to have an anti-terror squad – ATS in Jharkhand.

Meanwhile, the Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has said that the state would not be allowed to become a safe heaven for the terrorists. Our
Patna correspondent giving more details says that Bihar DGP Abhyanand said that Central Intelligence had sent a letter to the state on October 23rd, giving general alerts on threat from Indian Mujahidin and Naxalites for the rally and administration had taken all possible measures to ensure proper security arrangements for the BJP rally. Bihar Additional Director General of Police, Headquarters Ravindra Kumar said that the investigation is on and details cannot be disclosed right now. He further added that the state police and Central investigation agency-NIA, were jointly carrying out the probe, which in on the right track. He refused to comment on questions on the role of Indian Mujahideen operatives or its modules in carrying out serial blasts. Meanwhile two FIRs have been registered at the GRP police station at the Patna Railway Junction and the Gandhi Maidan police station .
