<span style="color: #222222;">Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has said that through more than 9,000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras operating across the country, affordable medicines, surgical instruments and other essential medical supplies are made available to the patients at 50 to 90 percent less prices.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a program organized on the occasion of fifth Jan Aushadhi Day at Government Medical College, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday, Anurag Thakur said that patients have saved more than Rs 20,000 crore so far through Jan Aushadhi Kendras.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Union Minister said Jan Aushadhi Kendras have also established themselves as self-employment centers and a provision of financial assistance of up to Rs 5 lakh has been made for trained youth to open Jan Aushadhi Kendras.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Anurag Singh Thakur also participated in the closing ceremony of assembly level competitions of MP Khel Mahakumbh of this year in Hamirpur. On this occasion, he distributed cash prize money of Rs 50 lakh to the participants of 2,300 teams.</span><br />
