Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has termed the terror strike at Pathankot airbase as a fidayeen attack which was aimed at causing loss to its strategic assets. Talking to media in New Delhi, Mr. Jaitley said security forces were successful in ensuring safety of strategic assets with minimal damage. <br/><br/>The Minister said the base is huge and therefore combing operations is taking time. Lauding security forces for prompt action, he said they contained attackers at the entry point itself. <br/><br/>Replying to a question whether the incident will impact India-Pakistan talks, Mr. Jaitley said the government will take a view on it only after the operation is over.<br/> <br/>He said during the National Security Council meeting held in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed Mazar-e-sharif, Pathankot terror attack and North East earthquake.
