Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today reviewed implementation of National Food Security Act in Kerala with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in New Delhi today. Mr Vijayan urged the Union Minister for allocations of foodgrains beyond the entitlement of the State under the Act. <br/><br/>The Act has been implemented in the State recently. Mr Paswan assured that Center will continue to allocate about 4 lakh tonne foodgrains beyond the entitlement of the State. He suggested that the State can benefit from the advantage of Open Market Sale Scheme or procure foodgrains at economic cost from Food Corporation of India to meet its additional requirement.
