Government says a Pashmina testing and quality certification facility is being established at Craft development institute in Srinagar. In a written reply in Rajya Sabha today, minister of state of commerce and industry, Jyotiraditya Scindia said government is also implementing six generic schemes to develop handicrafts in the state. Responding to the question by G N Ratanpuri of National conference, the minister said that centre is not the registered proprietor of the geographical indication of the wool and only a registered proprietor and the authorised dealer can take civil and criminal action against infringement in this regard.<br/>
