Delhi unit of BJP says, it is ready for fresh elections in the city any time now. Speaking to reporters after meeting Home Minister and senior party leader Rajnath Singh at his residence in New Delhi today, State BJP chief Satish Upadhyay, however, said if asked by the Lieutenant Governor to form government, the party will first analyse the situation before taking a final decision. Upadhyay said he told Mr Singh that the party has not received any proposal for Assembly polls as yet. He added that whatever happens in connection with formation of government in the city, it will be according to the Constitution norms.
Upadhyay's meeting with Rajnath Singh came amid reports that RSS has asked BJP to hold fresh Assembly elections in the national Capital. Upadhyay, however, clarified that RSS has not issued any such statement.
