The Congress today said, even though different views prevail within the UPA coalition government, the party wants to take all its allies along with it to complete a full term. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Congress spokesman Manish Tewari said, it is only natural for different parties to have differing political views in a democracy, but that does not mean they cannot work together to provide a stable government at the Centre.
Mr. Tewari said, the Prime minister has already assured both the Houses that the National Counter Terrorism Centre, NCTC will not infringe on the rights of the States, nor affect the federal structure of the country. He said, the Chief Ministers meeting on NCTC called on the 16th of next month, will discuss and work towards resolving pending issues with regard to the setting up of the Anti-terror mechanism.
Speaking on Poverty alleviation, Mr. Tewari said, his party does not want to have a statistical approach on the issue, rather than seek all out measures to eradicate poverty from the country.
