In the Kashmir valley, authorities have imposed curfew in five Police Station areas of interior Srinagar city.

The precautionary measure has been taken in the wake of the killing of a civilian youth in a firing incident in Nawakadal area last evening.

Police sources said that the incident occurred after the conclusion of polling, when youth resorted to stone pelting at the security forces, which led to the firing.

Three persons were injured in the incident, one of whom succumbed to injuries later in a hospital.
