The monsoon made its presence felt in Mumbai as heavy rain lashed the city yesterday. There were traffic disruptions and the city's four main electricity supply lines collapsed after a heavy spell of shower leaving half of the city in darkness last night for sometime. Due to disruptions in electricity supply Mumbai's life line Central railway network was thrown out of gear leaving thousands of commuters stranded yesterday night. According to railway sources, train services were were delayed by 15 – 20 minutes last night. Instances of water logging and uprooted trees were also reported in the city. The Mumbai met department has predicted occasional spells of rain or thundershowers in parts of the city and suburbs in the next twenty-four hours.
