The United States has said that its partnership with India is one of the real keys to global order and prosperity in the 21st century . Speaking briefly to reporters after his talks with the External Affairs Minister Mr S. M Krishna , in the New Delhi today the US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs William Burns said that the very fact that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has been invited to be the first state guest to Washington since Obama Administration took over reflects the very high priority that President Obama and his Administration attaches to its relationship with India. Mr Burns who has come to Delhi to prepare the ground work for Dr Manmohan Singh's visit to Washington next month said that the two countries have a very rich agenda of cooperation between them on regional and global issues ranging from civil nuclear energy , defence , clean energy climate change , health and education . Mr Burns said that he is very optimistic about the progress of relations between the two countries in the months and years to come.
