The Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has reiterated that the partnership between the DMK and the Congress will continue in the interest of common people. Addressing a public rally in Vilathikulam in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu, the Congress General Secretary said that both the UPA and the Tamil Nadu Government are working with common principles for the welfare of the poor people. Pointing out the active support by the Centre to the State, Mr. Gandhi said, the Congress party's association with the DMK is going to continue in the future for the development of Tamil Nadu and the country as well. He appealed the people of the State to continue their support to DMK and Congress candidates in the forthcoming Assembly elections. The Congress has fielded two and the DMK three candidates in Thoothikudi district.
