Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has congratulated Indian Army for the successful operation.<br/><br/>Information and Broadcasting minister M Venkaiah Naidu has said that the government will take befitting measures to ensure the safety and security of the country. Briefing media in New Delhi today, Mr Naidu said, these operations were a part of the mandate of the Indian Army to foil any attempts of infiltration into Indian soil. He said, India has been repeatedly urging Pakistan that its territory should not be allowed for terror activities. <br/><br/>He said, India's positive gestures were only reciprocated with further encouragement to terrorists by Pakistan. He added that PM Narendra Modi has reassured the nation that these terrorist acts will not be tolerated.<br/><br/>Mr Naidu said, after the Uri terror attack, people of India were outraged and the Prime Minister had then assured befitting measures. He said, the Army operation was a part of defending unity, safety and security of the country.<br/><br/>Mr Naidu hoped that at least now Pakistan will stop terrorism against India. He said, the Country is safe in the hands of Prime Minister Modi.<br/><br/>Union Power Minister Piyush Goel has hailed the surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the LoC by armed forces.<br/><br/>Speaking to media persons in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir the minister lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the Prime Minister has fulfilled the promise made to the countrymen after Uri terror attack.
