Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned till afternoon on various issues including Telananga. Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 1 pm., while Rajya Sabha adjourned till 2.30 pm.
The Rajya Sabha has taken up Lok pal and Lokayukta bill for discussion. The report of the Rajya Sabha select committee on the bill was laid by Minister of State for Personnel V Narayanasamy in the House. Following noisy scenes, Dy. Chairman P J Kurien adjourned the House till 2.30 pm.
Meanwhile, Anna Hazare's indefinite hunger strike pressing for passage of Jan Lokpal Bill in Parliament entered the fourth today.
In the Lok Sabha, members from Andhra Pradesh rushed to the well in support of their demand for United Andhra Pradesh. Samajwadi Party members also trooped into the well protesting against the rising prices of essential commodities.
Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj, who gave a notice for suspension of the question hour to take up the issue of allegations against retired Justice A K Ganguly.
Underlining the increasing number of incidents of sexual harassment of women in work places, she demanded the sacking of Justice Ganguly as Chairman of West Bengal Human Rights Commission. She was supported by Trinamool Congress members.
JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav raised the issue of alleged discrimination against candidates opting for Indian languages in the UPSC civil service examinations, before the House was adjourned amidst noisy scenes.
