Parliamentary Standing Committee of Home Affairs concludes its two days visit of border areas of Punjab

The Parliamentary Standing Committee of Home Affairs concluded its two days visit of border areas of Punjab after holding detailed deliberations with farmer organizations, state machinery and senior officers of Punjab Police, BSF separately. Chairman of 12-member committee, member, Rajya Sabha, Mr. Pardip Bhattacharya said in Amritsar that committee would work on the suggestions given to it by different people in context of Border Area and the report will be submitted to the Home Ministry within two-three months. Mr. Bhattacharya said that the next meeting of committee will be held in New Delhi.
