An amendment bill which proposes to regulate the functioning of Cooperative Societies in the country has been referred to Parliamentary Standing Committee on Agriculture. <br/><br/>The Committee has invited suggestions, memoranda and comments of individuals, institutions and organisations immediately. <br/><br/>The passage of the amendment bill will promote voluntary formation, autonomous functioning, democratic control and professional management of co-operative societies. <br/><br/>These can be sent to the Lok Sabha Secretariat, Room No.163 in Parliament House Annex, New Delhi. Interested people can also e-mail their suggestions on agricom@sansad.nic.in.
