A Parliamentary panel has recommended enhancement of insurance Cover to fishermen considering the high-level risk faced by them. Panel headed by P.C. Gaddigoudar tabled its report in the Lok Sabha recently.<br />'' <br />'' The report says that out of one crore 60 lakh fishermen, only 29 lakh 25 thousand fishermen in the country are covered under insurance Scheme, which provides one lakh rupees to two lakh rupees against death or permanent total disability and from 50 thousand to one lakh rupees for partial permanent disability.<br />''  <br />
