A parliamentary panel has asked the government to explore ways and means for providing hearing aids to hearing impaired persons through Members of Parliament Local Area Development , MPLAD Scheme. The panel headed by Dr M Thambi Durai in its report tabled in Parliament today recommended to the government to make a provision for hearing aids in the guide lines. Tricycles, wheel chairs and artificial limbs are being provided to physically challenged persons under the scheme
