Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju today said India and Japan share an important heritage of Budhism. He was addressing a Japanese Parliamentary delegation under the leadership of Makoto Oniki, Member of the Japanese House of Representatives who called on the Minister in New Delhi. <br/><br/>Mr Rijiju recalled the visit of Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe to India and his address to Parliament. He also recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Japan. He mentioned the Japan Investment Promotion Partnership and Japan's intention to invest 3.5 trillion dollars in five years time in India has given a significant step to further the relationship between the two countries. <br/><br/>Mr Rijiju hoped there will be further cooperation from Japan in Make in India and Digital India initiatives. The Minister said the United Nations Security Council is not complete without India and Japan as permanent members.
