The Members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Housing and Urban Affairs have visited the 2-bedroom dignity housing project at Kollur near Hyderabad.<br />'' <br />'' The Committee led by Rajiv Ranjan Singh and composed of members from the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha which is on a study tour to Hyderabad. The committee members enquired about the implementation of the programme in the State. The committee members went around the housing complexes and inspected the flats.<br />'' <br />'' Commissioner Municipal Administration N Sathyanarayana who briefed the committee said over 15 thousand 2BHK houses have been constructed in Kollur for the poor by merging with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).<br />'' <br />''The Officials informed the committee members that the two-bedroom houses were being provided at free of cost to the beneficiaries. They also informed that the unit cost of each house is 6 lakh 5 thousand rupees. This includes the centre's share of 1.50 lakh rupees and infrastructure cost of 75 thousand rupees.
