Parliamentary committee on Official Language on Saturday held meeting with All India Radio, AIR regarding the promotion of Hindi as the language of official transaction.

Addressing the meeting Director General AIR L D Mandloi said that the public broadcaster has played a significant role in promoting Hindi to its current position. Mandloi said that AIR has also commenced Girija Kumar Mathur Vyakhyan Mala to encourage the Hindi writers. He said that AIR is organizing extensive workshops and seminars to take Hindi to unprecedented hieghts.

National Thermal Power Cooperation and National Institute of Immunology also participated in the meeting to exhibit their contributions in promoting Hindi.
