Both the Houses of Parliament today witnessed repeated adjournments and heated exchange of words over remarks made by certain members leading to disruption of proceedings. The Lok Sabha was first adjourned till Noon and then till 2 PM with the BJP and other opposition members insisting on nothing less than an apology from the Trinamool Congress member, Mr. Sudeep Bandopadhyaya for his remarks yesterday about the veteran CPIM leader, Mr. Basudeb Acharia. Normal business resumed only after the Speaker, Mrs. Meira Kumar expressed displeasure over the remarks describing them as unbecoming of a member of the house. But, the proceedings of the house were again disrupted over a remark by Mr Ananta Kumar of the BJP about the RJD leader, Mr. Lalu Prasad during the discussion on the parameters for conducting Census. Taking strong exception to the remarks, Mr. Lalu Prasad demanded an apology from Mr. Kumar. The house was, first adjourned in the post-lunch session till 3.30 PM and later for an hour till 4.44 PM as verbal clashes continued between the BJP and the RJD members. There was no change in the situation when the House re-assembled at 4.44 pm and the House was adjourned for the day<br/>The Rajya Sabha was also adjourned when the BJP demanded an apology from a nominated member of the house, Mr. Mani Shankar Aiyer about the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Arun Jaitley on Monday during the debate on the working of the Home Ministry. The house had to be adjourned till 2 PM over the issue. Later, the house resumed business only after Mr. Aiyer expressed regrets for his comment. The Law and Justice Minister, Mr. M Veerappa Moily introduced a bill for creation of a Legislative Council in Tamil Nadu amidst stiff opposition from AIADMK members with Dr V Maitreyan of the AIADMK, questioning the need for such a Council. He said there should be comprehensive view on the need for such a Council. The Tamil Nadu Assembly had, on 12th of last month, adopted a resolution for the creation Legislative Council. <br/>The Rajya Sabha is now discussing a bill on the setting up of the National Green Tribunal for effective and speedy disposal of cases relating to environmental protection and conservation of forests. <br/>
