The insistence by the BSP and other opposition members to take up the alleged diversion of funds meant for the welfare of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes by the Delhi Government to Commonwealth Games, led to the adjournment of the Rajya Sabha till 2 PM. The House was earlier adjourned twice on the same issue. The issue rocked the Lok Sabha as well, leading to its adjournment till 1140 hours. As soon as the house met, members belonging to Samajwadi Party and BSP were seen raising slogans forcing the adjournment. The border disputed between Karnataka and Maharashtra was also raised by the member. When the house re-assembled, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal, denied the allegation of diversion of funds by the Delhi Government.
