The winter session of Parliament scheduled to conclude today with stand-off between the government and the opposition on the 2G issue continuing. While the opposition is pressing for a Joint Parliamentary probe into the alleged scam, government maintains that Public Accounts Commit is a right forum to discuss the CAG report. Several agencies are also probing different aspects of the scam. AIR correspondent reports except for passage of financial business without any debate and introduction of some bills, no discussion could took place either in the Lok Sabha or in the Rajhya Sabha during the session. Nation today pays homage to those who led down their lives while defending the Parliament complex in 2001. It was nine years back on this day when terrorist made an unsuccessful attempt to attack the Parliament complex. A special function is being orgaised today in the complex to pay homage to these valiant sons of the soil.
