Parliament Session: different issues lead to adjournment of both houses till noon

Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned for one hour till Noon today on different issues. As soon as the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha met for the day, members referred to newspaper reports on the refusal by the Italian government to send back two marines involved in the killing of two Indian fishermen. The Supreme Court had allowed the two marines to go home on parole to cast their votes in their home land on the condition that they would return to face their trial in India.

As soon as the Lok Sabha met, the DMK and AIADMK members trooped into the well raising the issue of the alleged atrocities on Tamils in Sri Lanka. They also displayed placards and waved newspapers. The BJP members raised the issue of corruption by the relatives of a Central minister.

In the Rajya Sabha, the BJP members rushed to the well alleging irregularities in the allotment of land in Rajasthan and Haryana. As the din continued, the Presiding Officers adjourned the Houses till Noon.
