The Lokpal, the Whistle Blowers Protection and the Reservation for Women in Parliament and State legislatures bills are among the twenty five important legislations lined up by the UPA Government for passage in the Winter session of Parliament beginning tomorrow.
Parliamentary Affairs minister Mr. Kamalnath told reporters in New Delhi yesterday that the Government hopes that the session will be constructive and fruitful.
Mr. Kamalnath said, the government would strive for arriving at a consensus on contentious issues to the extent possible.
The Minister said, existence of conflicting issues is a sign of a vibrant democracy, and all matters can be resolved through discussions. Mr. Kamalnath sought cooperation from all political parties to adhere to Parliamentary rules and regulations. He also said, notices for discussion on FDI, have been received.
