The Lok Sabha security breach issue continued to rock the proceedings of both the Houses of Parliament on the third consecutive day, today. Lok Sabha has been adjourned for the day, while Rajya Sabha till 4 PM following the Opposition's uproar over the issue.<br />''<br />''In Lok Sabha, when the House met after the fourth adjournment at 3 PM, Opposition members from Congress, DMK, TMC, JD(U) and others continued with their protest against the Government. A total of 30 Opposition members were suspended from the House for the remaining part of the Winter Session for their unruly behavior. Apart from this, three Opposition MPs have been suspended for their grave misconduct till the report of the Privileges Committee. As pandemonium continued, the Presiding Officer adjourned the House for the day.<br />''<br />''Earlier, the House witnessed repeated adjournments as Opposition members continued with their protest demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement on the security breach issue. Amid the din, the House passed the Post Office Bill 2023. The Telecommunications Bill, 2023 was also introduced in Lok Sabha.<br />''<br />''In the morning, Speaker Om Birla highlighted the measures taken to strengthen the security mechanism of Parliament. He added that a probe is also underway in the matter. He said, a Parliamentary high powered committee has also been set up to investigate the security breach issue. Mr. Birla said, the leaders of different political parties during the all-party meeting had given suggestions which are also taken into consideration. He reiterated that the security of Parliament lies with the Lok Sabha Secretariat and the Government has nothing to do with it. He added that the security mechanism is&nbsp;to be implemented after detailed consultations with members. The Speaker said, it is unfortunate that politics is being played over the issue. He also said, the suspension of some MPs has nothing to do with the incident and the action has been taken for displaying placards and lowering the dignity of the House. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said, it was decided by all political parties that placards will not be displayed in the House. However, the opposition members are doing so. He said, this is the last full-fledged session of the 17th Lok Sabha and several important legislations are lined up. He urged protesting members to allow the House to take up the business. Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar expressed displeasure over the ruckus in the House. He said, it is a place for debate and discussion. Amid pandemonium, the House was adjourned till 4 PM. Earlier, the House witnessed two adjournments over the same issue.
