Parliament has given its seal of approval to the Delhi High Court Amendment Bill 2015 with the Lok Sabha passing it by a voice vote today. The Bill was passed by the Rajya Sabha earlier. The proposed law empowers the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court to transfer any pending suit or other proceedings to relevant subordinate court in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. <br/><br/>Replying to a discussion over the bill, Law Minister Sadananda Gowda said no proposal is under consideration to bringing in uniformity in the norms relating to the High Courts as it is a prerogative of the states. The Proposed amendment has been supported by all parties present in the house.
