<span style="color: #222222;">Parliament has passed the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Fourth Amendment) Bill 2022 with the Rajya Sabha approving it today. The Bill has already been passed by the Lok Sabha. The Bill will amend the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950, for the inclusion of the Betta Kuruba community, in the list of Scheduled Tribes in relation to the State of Karnataka.<br />''<br />''Replying to the discussion, Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda said, the Narendra Modi government has identified the people living in remote areas and providing them with mainstream facilities and rights. He said, Union government has worked to give justice to the Betta Kuruba community. Mr Munda said, Centre is providing better health, education, and employment facilities while keeping their culture alive.<br />''<br />''Earlier, participating in the debate, BJP leader Arun Singh said, the tribal society of Karnataka has contributed a lot to the progress of the state and also contributed significantly to the independence of the country. He said, the welfare of tribals has been the priority of the BJP government. Supporting the Bill, Dola Sen of TMC said, it is the long pending demands of the community. She suggested the Union Government bring a comprehensive bill for all states instead of bringing separate legislations for inclusion of Communities in Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled castes. Niranjan Bishi of BJD, and Sant Balbir Singh of Aam Aadmi Party among others participated in the discussion.</span><br />
