Both the Houses of Parliament mourned the death of 10 BSF personnel in a plane crash in Delhi yesterday. In the Rajya Sabha, members expressed heartfelt condolence and sympathy for the dead and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured. The members stood in silence as mark of respect to the departed. <br/><br/>The Lok Sabha also condoled the demise of K Gopal, who was a member of the 5th and 6th House. Making obituary reference in the House, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said K Gopal, who represented the Karur Parliamentary constituency of Tamil Nadu, passed away on August 30 in Chennai at the age of 81. Gopal was an active social and political worker and served as the Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs from 1979 to 1980. He was also a member of the Estimates Committee.
