Both the Houses of Parliament on Monday felicitated the Indian Contingent at the 20th Commonwealth Games at Glasgow, Scotland.Making a reference in the Lok Sabha, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said the Indian contingent has done the nation proud by winning 15 gold, 30 silver and 19 bronze medals.Amidst thumping of desks by members, she said the sterling performance of the Indian contingent will be a source of encouragement and motivation to all the budding sportspersons to bring glory to the country in future.In the Rajya Sabha, Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari said by their achievements, the sports persons have made the country proud in the comity of nations.He said their example should inspire the young sports persons to emulate and improve upon their achievement.
