Parliament discusses on corruption menace

Both houses of Parliament have taken up the discussion on the situation arising out of widespread corruption in the country. Initiating the debate in the Loksabha Senior BJP leader Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi alleged that in the last several years, the menace of corruption at the Centre and in States has risen to alarming proportions. He said the large participation of people in anti corruption campaign is the result of disenchantment of people with the prevailing political system. The discussion is continuing. The Rajya sabha has also taken up a short duration discussion on the topic. Earlier, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned for 15 minutes to discuss with the floor leaders whether the discussion on corruption will be taken up on Wednesday.
