Parliament adjourns for the day over Telangana, 2G Spectrum and Muzaffarnagar violence issues

Both the Houses have been adjourned till tomorrow over Telangana, Muzaffarnagar violence and 2G Spectrum issues. In the Lok Sabha, BSP members trooped into the well of the House after it re-assembled at noon to protest against Muzaffarnagar violence. Members from Andhra Pradesh, protesting the bifurcation of the state, joined them. Amidst noisy scenes, Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on 2G spectrum allocation, P C

Meanwhile, DMK members, led by T R Baalu rushed to the well protesting against the JPC report. The BJP members also rose from their benches in protest. One of the DMK members was seen tearing a paper in front of the Chair. Speaker Meira Kumar, however, ruled that there will be no discussion on the report in the House.

In the Rajya Sabha also, BSP members continued with their protests against the violence in Muzaffarnagar and demanded the dismissal of the Uttar Pradesh government. Two Telugu Desam members from Andhra Pradesh rushed to the well, raising slogans against the creation of Telangana state. Amidst the din, Deputy Chairman P J Kurien, allowed the tabling of papers before adjourning the House.
